I'm participating in what I think is a really smart weekly challenge hosted by Carin at Forever in Blue Jeans. It seems like mamas spend an awful lot of time behind the camera. The idea of this challenge is for mamas to get on the other side of the camera in at least one photo a week.
When my boys grow up they'll inherit hundreds of thousands of photos taken from their childhood, but how many of those will show their mama? At least for this year I can answer 52!
Last week I realized that though I had been writing this blog for 2 1/2 months (and posted 55 times) I had never posted a photo of me.
This week I can't believe that I am actually posting this photo. I don't think I've ever seen one less flattering of myself.
Jack and I are pretending to be robots. We are wearing Wall-e masks and step-stools. Don't be hating 'cause you can't carry off a step-stool like me!
I have to leave you with a cuter photo. Here Jack and Logan are my little robots!
Oh my gosh...you are toooooo cute!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, you are SO adorable!!! How fun is it playing with little boys?!?! I love my little guy's imagination:)
ReplyDeleteHehehe. This is really cute!!
ReplyDeleteI have joined in on the fun of this post and your picture is GREAT!!! Can't wait to see what you come up for next week.
ReplyDeleteOH my word. That is hysterical and yet the memories you have just created with your boys sets you back in the running for MOTY. You should see a picture of me I posted on my blog back when I started...squeezing my big head in my sons batting helmet...wasn't pretty, but it is proof mommy played with him and that is all the matters. Great photos! I love them both...and ya'll are very creative:)
ReplyDeleteI knew I really liked and know I have proof: You're willing to look totally crazy in your blog, just like me! Bottom line, your boys will REMEMBER Mommy acting goofy and having fun. Now you have the pictures to back it up!
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic, for soooooooo many reasons. This will probably be one of their favorite pictures when they're older, because it will bring back memories of the events that led you to the MOTY podium!!! You're such a fantastic mom. They're very blessed, those lil' boys.
ReplyDeleteThat will be some great memories for a lifetime.
ReplyDeleteHow fun! Your boys are going to love you for this photo. Great memories.
ReplyDeleteThose photos are too cute!! What a fun and creative idea! I think you're a super awesome mom for playing along with the boys! I bet they loved that!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a great mom, what fun memories!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have joined in on 52 Weeks.
OMG i LOVE your photo! What a great first pic on your blog! Your boys will L♥ve this when they are older!!
ReplyDeleteI love your photo! The step stool looks like a bra, watch soon you'll see someone on the cat walk wearing that!
ReplyDeleteI just joined up to do this. That is a great photo you have fun... I couldn't pull of the step stool like that. You look Fab-O!!!
ReplyDeleteThis is a great idea, although I like being behind the camera because it gives me a great excuse to avoid the unflattering photos. But i do think there is something to be said for having pics of our Mamas when we r older and Mama will one day not be there (unfortunately). Your oics are cute and your playtime is quite imaginative.
ReplyDeleteVery cute!! You are a great sport! both to play with your kids like this, AND post the picture!!
ReplyDeleteOh, you know I'm hating! Ha ha! This is so frickin' hilarious! Seriously, I absolutely adore this. I mean, how cool are you to your kids for being a robot? That's awesome! Love, LOVE these photos!
ReplyDeleteWhatta mom! That's so great...maybe I'll set a smaller goal at first, like once a month? okay, that's kinda wimpy...maybe twice a month? thanks for the challenge...I do think it's important that the kids have pics of me from when they were young.
