Google Analytics gives me all sorts of interesting but relatively useless info about the folks reading my blog. (And maybe this is a good time to say "thank you" for actually reading my drivel.)
I have had 941 individuals visit my blog. Seriously? 941 different people have managed to find my site. Who'd have thought that many people would have nothing better to do?
Overall I've had 2,000+ visits lasting an average of 2 minutes and 23 seconds. Really? That means some of those 941 people have come to my site multiple times!
How do some of these people find my site you might wonder? (Or maybe you don't wonder but I'm going to tell you anyway!) Apparently some are reading other blogs and clicking through to my site. My blog's top referree is My Charming Kids, because I participate in MckMama's weekly carnival called "Not me!" Monday. The other top referree sites (is that even a word?) are two blogs by mamas I only know through my computer but consider to be friends:
- A Family is Forever, written by Kristen, is about the daily life of a busy working mom and her four children (two teens and two younger daughters). Her recent post about the cheeseburger tree they planted was sweet and funny.
- There is Always Room for One More (AKA my favorite blog) is where the very funny Denise writes about her crazy life with her 6 kids. Check out the video of her two youngest
talkingbabbling to each other...it is hysterical!
Other people find my blog by doing a Google search. For example, if you were to type in "tangerine lane christmas" or "rock star contract demands" my little ole' blog would come up in the search results. And people have actually clicked through to my site from those bizarre combinations of keywords.
And being the worldly mama that I am, I was curious to find out where my readers live: Australia, Saudi Arabia, Japan, Canada, Malaysia (thanks solely to Veronica Lee at Of Rice and Ramen), Germany, Iceland...
I've had two visits from the Fins. They spent more than 13 minutes on my site because I'm guessing my sarcastic wit doesn't translate well in Finnish. Good night Finland!
