Our secret recipe

My husband and I have been having rough mornings with the kiddos. So for the third weekend in a row we dusted off this well-loved sure-to-please recipe.

First, add sunscreen to the bare warm sun-kissed shoulders of your nearly nekked babies. (Is there any better smell in all the world than warm sunscreened baby skin?)
Add a healthy dose of fresh salt air.
Mix with the cry of seagulls, the crash of waves and the giggles of two young boys.
Sprinkle profusely with sand.
Let everything heat naturally in the warm sun.

And voila! This is the finished result:

I thought that this was a secret family recipe but I've seen lots of others making it with success too. I guess since it's already out there, feel free to share it with others.

  1. Logan is going to love that picture 10 years from now!!

  2. That picture will come in very, very handy in a dozen years or so... LOL!!!!

I have the exact same recipe, except that the ingredients are only available from late June to mid-September... no fair!!!

LOVE the pics, ohhhhh so makes me want to move, move, move!!

  3. Girl, you are totally CRUEL!!! Do you have any idea how cold it is here??? That settles it. I'm just going to have to come visit.

BTW> the boys look totally adorable!

  4. Thanks for leaving a comment! I have you on my blogroll!

  5. ok it is 12 degrees here right now. the beach is a distant memory

  6. First, I am freezing today - that beach pictures look soooo nice. Second, that last one is funny! Great recipe. I love it!

  7. LOL! Love those pictures! Blackmail is a wonderful thing..or just plain embarassing.
I have a picture of my daughter at about 6 months, totally naked, hanging outside her bedroom door. I often comment to her that if she thinks about taking someone into her room (a boy) he is going to see her naked baby butt..and does she want that?? LOL..parenthood is great !

Yeah! I love comments! Feel free to leave me one (or two or three).
But remember what your mama said..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
