I'm participating in what I think is a really smart weekly challenge hosted by Carin at Forever in Blue Jeans. It seems like mamas spend an awful lot of time behind the camera. The idea of this challenge is for mamas to get on the other side of the camera in at least one photo a week.
When my boys grow up they'll inherit hundreds of thousands of photos taken from their childhood, but how many of those will show their mama? At least for this year I can answer 52!
So, I'm not a big fan of posed photos but it's what we've got this week. This photo was taken on Easter at my in-laws house. The boys were running around on the front lawn like wild banshees and wouldn't stand still for a pic. The best we could do was to throw them on our backs and smile.
What a fun and super cute picture of the whole family.ReplyDelete
so true so true.. i cant stand pictures of me.. but then i look thru my albums and im nowhere to be found! I recently started taking pics of me and the boys by myself.. i take 10 and delete 9, but at list there's proof I exist.ReplyDelete
that's a great in-the-moment picture of your family.. everyone is all laughing and moving around.. lil man on ur back's face is the best.. he's so thrilled to be on his mama's back with a camera in his face.ReplyDelete
Love the pic - one happy family!ReplyDelete
Great picture! I understand, I have to literally hand the camera to Todd and ask him to take a picture of me. I think there is one of me from Easter this year.ReplyDelete
you like the "PS Your cool!" hehe I actually stole that from Frank. He wrote himself a letter one night and left it on the table and that was the "PS" he left himself! Gotta love him.ReplyDelete
Posed photos never work with my kids. You say SMILE and all hell breaks out. One has his finger in his nose (on purpose) one is doing the horse teeth smile and my daughter is doing the Vogue pose.ReplyDelete
This one came out so cute of you guys!
Your oldest looks just like your hubby.
I'm glad you all had a great day together!
Posed or not, this is definitely one of my favorite pictures of yours! Wonderful idea for a family pic, you always have the best ideas! I think my boys might actually sit still and look at the camera if we threw them on our backs! I guess we would have to throw one in the middle since we only have 2 backs though! hahaReplyDelete
You guys all look so nice too!!
What a great picture! Love the blue and sunshine! Great family!!!ReplyDelete
FUN, FUN, FUN! Your kids will always remember how fun their parents are, way to go!ReplyDelete
Love the picture and love the idea! Thanks for stopping by again and cant wait to read when you see your daughters face too!!!ReplyDelete
Oh I love it, Carey!!! Very cute!!!ReplyDelete
Adorable picture!! We only have one left of our 4 kids that can now catch a piggyback ride.ReplyDelete
I think the moment was captured wonderfully! Not posy at all. Everybody looks so happy.ReplyDelete
you can so totally tell you are in CA! us people from mn are still glow in the dark pale white!ReplyDelete
That's a cute one! It is so lush and green there, by the way. Jealous!ReplyDelete
But I like this picture!ReplyDelete
I really like this picture! Looks like everyone was having a good time.ReplyDelete
Even if it's posed, it looks great! the FUN shows thru!!ReplyDelete
I took on the Flickr 365 day challenge for that very reason this year. I also wanted an incentive to look in the mirror at least once in a busy day (it was getting scary!).ReplyDelete
Keep it up, you will be happy you did when you're all gray and wrinkled. "Look how cute I was!" you'll say!
I know what you mean about posed photos. I feel different about Easter family photos, though. I love them. They are so special! Your family picture is beautiful.ReplyDelete
Thursday Thanks Tank
Great idea! I ALWAYS complain that my kids are never going to believe I was anywhere! I am always taking the pics. Cute family photo and great blog!ReplyDelete
What a great picture, I love that the kids are all ya'lls back makes it even cuter!ReplyDelete
This is a great picture.. posed pictures are one thing, but your faces.. that tells alot!!! So precious!ReplyDelete
I like the idea behind this! Every time I hand my husband the camera, he turns it off and puts it away like that what he's supposed to do with it. Hello!?ReplyDelete
Your family pic is so cute - thanks for sharing.
I love the photo. It's fantastic!ReplyDelete
