The other side of the camera - Easter

Forever In Blue Jeans

I'm participating in what I think is a really smart weekly challenge hosted by Carin at Forever in Blue Jeans. It seems like mamas spend an awful lot of time behind the camera. The idea of this challenge is for mamas to get on the other side of the camera in at least one photo a week.

When my boys grow up they'll inherit hundreds of thousands of photos taken from their childhood, but how many of those will show their mama? At least for this year I can answer 52!

So, I'm not a big fan of posed photos but it's what we've got this week. This photo was taken on Easter at my in-laws house. The boys were running around on the front lawn like wild banshees and wouldn't stand still for a pic. The best we could do was to throw them on our backs and smile.

  4. Great picture! I understand, I have to literally hand the camera to Todd and ask him to take a picture of me. I think there is one of me from Easter this year.

  5. you like the "PS Your cool!" hehe I actually stole that from Frank. He wrote himself a letter one night and left it on the table and that was the "PS" he left himself! Gotta love him.

  6. Posed photos never work with my kids. You say SMILE and all hell breaks out. One has his finger in his nose (on purpose) one is doing the horse teeth smile and my daughter is doing the Vogue pose.

This one came out so cute of you guys!
Your oldest looks just like your hubby.
I'm glad you all had a great day together!

  7. Posed or not, this is definitely one of my favorite pictures of yours! Wonderful idea for a family pic, you always have the best ideas! I think my boys might actually sit still and look at the camera if we threw them on our backs! I guess we would have to throw one in the middle since we only have 2 backs though! haha

You guys all look so nice too!!

  17. I took on the Flickr 365 day challenge for that very reason this year. I also wanted an incentive to look in the mirror at least once in a busy day (it was getting scary!).

Keep it up, you will be happy you did when you're all gray and wrinkled. "Look how cute I was!" you'll say!

  22. I like the idea behind this! Every time I hand my husband the camera, he turns it off and puts it away like that what he's supposed to do with it. Hello!?

Your family pic is so cute - thanks for sharing.

Yeah! I love comments! Feel free to leave me one (or two or three).
But remember what your mama said..."If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."
Thanks!
